If you want to see this once in 121 year event, then book now as we have limited space.
Next time an event like this will take place, will be in 2117 and 2124 respectively.

The event will start at 8am and conclude at 2.30pm.
The observatory will not only have its large telescopes covered in special Solar film so you view and or photo this rare event, we will also be video streaming the event onto the big projection screen in the air conditioned 77 seater Star Theatre
On hand will be an astronomer to give an update of what is happening.
This day would be great for bus and coach tours that can take in the Bunya Mountains and numerous Wineries and other attractions in the South Burnett.
The onsite the kitchen will be open for morning teas expertly catered by the Maidenwell Trading Post.
Lunch will be available at the Maidenwell Hotel between noon and 1pm. Bookings for this would be appreciated by the hotel. Ph. 4164 6133.
Observatory cost for this event is only $15 PP irrespective of age.

Solar Glasses will be sold on site for $2 each.They are quite safe to wear and will show the Sun as a nice cool orange ball.
Also on sale is the same black Polymer material to cover up binoculars and camera lenses.
