The observatory is located in the heart of Maidenwell in the South Burnett region of Queensland.

We are 28 kms east of the Bunya Mountains, 30 kms west of Yarraman, 27kms south of Nanango, and 50 kms south of Kingaroy.

The observatory is just over an hour's drive on the A3 from Toowoomba (via Cooyar).

Brisbane & the Sunshine Coast is a ~2.5 hrs drive. Gold Coast is a 3 hour drive via Esk.
